This is a great question and one I hear frequently. If you find yourself experiencing any of these symptoms regularly, it’s likely that counseling would be helpful to you:
Counseling/Therapy can help you identify and strengthen your positive qualities, provide support during a transition, help you understand and break negative patterns, help you gain perspective on a situation, solve a problem or heal from emotional wounds or upsetting experiences. Therapy can also help you understand yourself better and become more conscious of how your history, perceptions, feelings, attitudes and behavior patterns influence how you relate to others and move through the world. Therapy can help you grow as an individual and within the context of your relationships.
Our life coaching services can help you achieve your personal and professional goals. Our experienced coaches provide guidance, support, and motivation to help you identify your strengths, overcome obstacles, and achieve success in all areas of your life.
I am not in network with any insurance plans. While insurance may be helpful in some situations, it often introduces complexities that compromise your care, your privacy, and the flexibility of our work together. Insurance companies can dictate the type, length, and frequency of care based on their policies rather than your unique needs and my professional judgment. Insurance companies require a medical diagnosis prior to paying for your care, which then becomes part of your permanent medical record and may impact you in the future. These practices compromise the confidentiality and autonomy I believe is essential to quality mental health care.
As a result, I offer an affordable self-pay rate well below the statewide average cost and a fee structure based on a Pay-What-You-Can model.
My fee structure is best defined as a Pay-What-You-Can (PWYC) model of service. Rather than a sliding scale that is based off your income, the PWYC model lets you take into consideration your own financial situation and set a fee that is reasonable for your life circumstances. While this results in individuals paying different amounts for therapy, it’s important to know that regardless of the amount that you pay, I provide the same level of service for all of my clients. To help you think through what fee makes the most sense for your situation try answering the question“What can I reasonably afford to pay per session if we were to meet weekly?”
