MEETING OPTIONS

Telehealth Counseling:

Using a secure telehealth platform allows me to connect with you from the comfort and privacy of your own home or office. This flexible option is ideal for adults and teens with a busy schedule, transportation challenges, or those living out of my Richmond, MI service area. Telehealth offers the same high-quality counseling services you would receive in person. This option allows me to work with clients all over the state of Michigan.

In-Office Counseling:

For those who prefer face-to-face sessions, I offer in-office counseling in a welcoming, confidential, and comfortable space at my Richmond, MI office location.

WHAT DOES IT COST?

My fee structure is best defined as a Pay-What-You-Can (PWYC) model of service. Rather than a sliding scale that is based off your income, the PWYC model lets you take into consideration your own financial situation and set a fee that is reasonable for your life circumstances. While this results in individuals paying different amounts for therapy, it’s important to know that regardless of the amount that you pay, I provide the same level of service for all of my clients. To help you decide what fee makes the most sense for your situation try answering the question“What can I reasonably afford to pay per session if we were to meet weekly?”

Supporter Rate:

My standard fee is $100 per session. This is for those who have expendable income, access to savings, own property, take vacations, etc. In other works, you have room in your budget to pay for therapy and by paying the standard fee you help others who cannot.

Sustainer Rate:

This range is for those who are able to meet their basic needs but have little expendable income. I suggest a fee between $60 and $90 per session, but you choose the amount that makes the most sense for your financial situation. Paying for services at this mid-range rate may qualify as a sacrifice but should not create a significant financial hardship for you.

Community Rate:

The community rates are reserved for those who struggle to meet basic needs. Paying for therapy even in the mid-rage would result in significant financial hardship. While I do not have the ability to offer a community rate to everyone and still keep my doors open, I do my best to accommodate two or three clients per month at a rate they can afford.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” when you don't use insurance

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

● You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

● Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

● If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

● Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
